Goalie Program (1993-1998)
On Ice 6 Days - 15 Hours
An on and off ice program for goaltenders already playing an
Elite level of hockey who are continually looking to improve all
their skills and knowledge about the position.
Goaltender only sessions will be held – 1¼ hours per day for 6 days as well as participation at a full week of interactive team training sessions where realistic game situations are extensively used. (15 hrs.)
Total hours of on ice training for
the week – 22½ hours.
The on-ice goalie sessions will
feature live shooting with multiple nets, high instructor
to goalie ratio, teaching all aspects of goaltending
directed to the skill level of each of the
individual goalies. The most
advanced techniques and
strategies will be covered
as well improving the
skating efficiency and
speed in and around
the net.
