READY FOR REP/RECREATIONAL PLAYERS
- Rep Players born 2012-14 or Currently Playing Recreational Hockey (THREE years experience)
PEHS COMPETING TO WIN & SCORE HOCKEY SCHOOL
COMPETING TO WIN is a program designed for 2012-14 players who just want to be more physical, PERIOD! You will work on becoming a pesky back checker, a ferocious forechecker, and an all-around tougher opponent to play against in front of the net and in the corners and everywhere on the ice. We will teach you to play tough, hard-nosed hockey PERIOD.
The COMPETING TO WIN Program will include:
- Players being taught to Defend Themselves with Evasive moves at the point of Contact
- They will be Shown the Fundamentals of GRINDING to be used in many Situational circumstances
- Body Positioning for Bumping, Checking, Puck Protection, Angling and Bumping Separation Strategies
- Speed, Agility and Balance Development as Body Contact comes into Play
- Winning One on One Battles, Set up Scoring Opportunities, Degree of Force
SPEED SKATING TECHNIQUES
- Advanced Acceleration and Maximum Speed Skating Efficiency
- High Speed Forward and Backward Transitioning
- Endurance, Aerobics and Stamina Building
SCORING AND STICK SKILLS
- Forehand/backhand, Wrist, Snap. Slapshot
- Stickhandling, Deking, Toe Drag, Puck Protection
- Give and Go Passing, Shooting to Score
