ADVANCED RECREATIONAL PLAYERS
- Players Born 2014 to 2016 (THREE years experience)
- Currently playing RECREATIONAL HOCKEY at Advanced Level
OVERALL OBJECTIVES OF READY FOR REP ADVANCED PROGRAM
- Dramatically Improve Power Skating/Edge Control/Mechanics and Techniques
- Increase Aerobics and Endurance On-Ice and Speed up Recovery Time on bench
- Accelerate Speed, Mobility, Agility, and Quickness with intense interval Sprints
- Improve On ice Balance, Foot Speed, Power and Compete Skills & On-Ice Work Ethic
- Work to upgrade Shooting, Scoring, Stickhandling, Passing and Game Play Techniques
- Advanced Gameplay/Compete Program (Age Appropriate)
- Offensive Zone Tactics: Forechecking/Backchecking, Body Positioning, Passing, Winning battles, Shooting, Scoring
- Defensive Zone Tactics: Determined Defensive Positioning, Strong Angling, Puck Protection and Competition
- Body Checking/Contact, Competing, Determination, Small Games (Age Appropriate)
THE SESSIONS WILL BE TAUGHT AND THE PLAYERS WILL BE DIVIDED BY APPROPRIATE SKILL AND EXPERIENCE LEVELS WHEN NEEDED WITHIN THEIR OWN AGE GROUPS. EACH PLAYER WILL BE TOTALLY READY FOR THE BALANCE OF SEASON, PLAYOFFS, SPRING HOCKEY AND FALL TRYOUTS.
